Description

As a crusher operator at Dubé, you'll use your skills and expertise to contribute to the success of our crushing plant project. You'll be primarily responsible for refueling the dedicated truck. It's an excellent way to perfect your knowledge of the trade and move on to other positions in the crushing division. It also means being part of a close-knit team that has fun at work, likes to try out new ideas to improve, and firmly believes in health and safety.

Status : Contract for the 2025 season with possibility of extension

Schedule: 7/7 or 14/14 day/night rotation

Workplace: Mining project near Timmins, or Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Northeastern Ontario
 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Refuel equipment using a dedicated truck, ensuring a continuous and safe supply to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Perform basic mechanical work to repair equipment and keep it running smoothly.
  • Assist the crusher operator in his daily tasks and replace him in case of absence or according to operational needs.
  • Quickly identify anomalies or malfunctions in the crushing plant and report problems to the appropriate managers.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and identify needs for intervention or maintenance.
  • Operate heavy machinery in place of operators, such as loaders or excavators, to support crusher operations.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on the crusher, including cleaning, lubrication and adjustments to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order around the crushing plant to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Actively participate in site health and safety initiatives, strictly enforcing rules and reporting any potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize site operations, supporting activities related to crushing and materials management.
  • Contribute to the quality of materials produced by monitoring processes and adjusting operations where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience as an auxiliary, day laborer, laborer or in crushing – an asset
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid explosives license
  • Completed Common Core training
  • Good physical capacity
  • Ability to work on construction sites and be exposed to bad weather
  • Knowledge of the English language – an asset
  • Highly versatile and resourceful
  • Hardworking, independent and a good team player.
